Punjab government on Tuesday officially announced summer vacation schedule for all institutions across regions amid scorching heat and alert from PDMA and other bodies.

Due to the extreme weather, the School Education Department has announced summer holidays. According to the official notification, all public and private schools in Punjab will be closed from May 28 to August 14, 2025.

Afternoon schools will start their break earlier, from May 21 to August 14. All schools will reopen on August 15, 2025. The department has instructed education officials to make sure these orders are followed.

Punjab Summer Vacations

In addition to the vacation announcement, new school timings have been set, with schools operating from 7:15 AM to 11:30 AM during regular days. This update comes after Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat had earlier announced similar timings of 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM along with the vacation dates.

Higher Education Department has declared that all government and private colleges will observe summer vacations from May 28 to August 14, 2025. Academic activities will resume on August 15, and exams will continue according to their pre-set schedules.
