Rawalpindi: Funeral prayers held for Martyr Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah in Chaklala Garrison.

The funeral prayer of Major Syed Moiz Abbas Shah, who was martyred during an operation against Indian-backed militants in Sararogha, South Waziristan District, was conducted at Chaklala Garrison, Rawalpindi.

Prominent military and civil officials, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, Federal Minister for Interior, senior military officers, and soldiers, participated in the solemn ceremony, as reported by the ISPR.

In a statement, the ISPR highlighted Major Moiz Abbas’s bravery, stating, “He fought valiantly against resistance forces and laid down his life in the line of duty, embodying the highest standards of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. The entire nation mourns his loss but also stands proud of his sacrifice. We are forever indebted to our martyrs, whose blood is the bedrock of our strength.”

Following the funeral, the body of the brave officer was transported to his hometown, where he will be laid to rest with full military honors, in accordance with his service and sacrifice for the homeland.
