Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced the termination of government TV fees from the electricity bills.

Addressing the ceremony in Islamabad, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that electricity is more challenging in the country and consumption is a challenge, solar energy is increasing rapidly in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that there was immense reforms in the Ministry of Energy but more work has to be done.

It should be noted that electricity bills contain Rs 35 TV fees, consumers receive Rs 1.5 billion per month in terms of TV fees, which is about Rs 16 billion annually.
