Islamabad: Senator Sherry Rehman held a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.   

The meeting focused on matters related to the ongoing budget session. Senator Sherry Rehman briefed the President on the budget debates in the Senate and highlighted PPP’s effective role in the legislative process.

During the discussion, Senator Rehman also referred to the diplomatic efforts made by the Coalition Joint Committee during the recent India-Pakistan crisis. The committee successfully presented Pakistan’s peaceful and responsible strategic stance to the international community, gaining significant global support.

She expressed full confidence and strong backing for the committee and its chairman, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

President Zardari appreciated the active diplomatic endeavors of the Coalition Joint Committee and lauded the team’s efforts in effectively representing Pakistan’s position on the global stage.

He also commended the attempts to garner international support for Pakistan’s stance in this important dialogue.
