The federal government will distribute free electric bikes to outstanding students from all educational boards in Pakistan, including the Federal Board.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also announced that the federal government will distribute electric rickshaws and loaders to unemployed individuals across Pakistan. This move is part of a wider initiative aimed at promoting employment opportunities and encouraging environmentally sustainable transportation solutions.

Focus on Green Mobility and Economic Uplift

While chairing a high-level meeting to review the government’s electric mobility support program, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the long-term economic and environmental advantages of electric vehicles (EVs). He stated that transitioning to EVs would help reduce Pakistan’s reliance on imported fuel, saving billions in foreign exchange. Additionally, the move would support environmental protection efforts and provide a significant boost to the local manufacturing industry.
