The federal government has reduced the petrol price by Rs7.54 per litre for the next two weeks, starting from August 1, according to a statement from the Finance Division on Thursday.

The notification mentioned that with this cut, the new price of petrol is now set at Rs272.15 per litre.

At the same time, the price of diesel has been increased by Rs1.48 per litre, bringing it up to Rs285.83 per litre.

The Finance Division said the decision was made after reviewing current trends in the international market and based on recommendations from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and other relevant ministries.
