Karachi: A motorcyclist killed in a collision with a water tanker near the Site Area and Liaquat Chowrangi today.

Authorities responded swiftly, seizing the tanker and detaining its driver for questioning.

Law enforcement officials took immediate action to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident. Both the water tanker and its driver were taken to the Site-A police station for further inquiries.

Rescue teams arrived promptly to assist at the scene.

This incident brings the total number of traffic-related fatalities in Karachi for the year to 138, according to police reports. Just last week, five lives were lost in separate accidents, including the death of a college professor.

The rise in accidents involving high-speed dumper trucks and other heavy vehicles has prompted authorities to implement additional safety measures in an effort to reduce fatalities and injuries on the roads.
