One-day curfew imposed in Birmil Tehsil, South Waziristan lower

Waziristan: South Waziristan Lower’s Birmil Tehsil has announced a total curfew for one day, citing security concerns and potential threats.

The district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Nasir Khan, issued the order to ensure safety in the region.

Under the curfew, markets in Raghzai will remain closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Emergency services and individuals with official permits are exempted from the restrictions.

Citizens are advised to keep a safe distance, with instructions to stop their vehicles at least 50 meters away from security forces’ vehicles.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against violators under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The move underscores the ongoing security measures in the area aimed at maintaining peace and stability.
