Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss security arrangements during Youm-e-Ashura across the country.

During the meeting, the interior minister gave a detailed briefing on the steps taken to ensure peace and safety during Ashura processions and gatherings. He said that the government made every effort to maintain law and order throughout the country.

Prime Minister Shehbaz praised the efforts of all provincial governments, police, Rangers, and other security forces. He especially appreciated the professional and coordinated strategy that helped maintain peace on this important religious day. He said the success was a result of hard work and dedication by law enforcement and administration.

Mohsin Naqvi added that full preparations were made to assist the public, including traffic management, emergency medical services, mobile network restoration, and cleanliness along procession routes.

PM Shehbaz also thanked the public, religious scholars, and administration for promoting unity, tolerance, and sectarian harmony during Ashura. He urged everyone to continue supporting such peaceful efforts in the future as well.
