TDAP corruption case, Yousaf Raza Gillani acquitted in 9 cases

Karachi: An Anti-Corruption Court has acquitted Yousaf Raza Gillani, the Chairman of the Senate, in nine cases related to the TDAP corruption scandal.

The hearing took place in an Anti-Corruption Court in Karachi.

It is noted that the FIA had registered 26 cases related to mega corruption in TDAP, and Yousaf Raza Gillani had already been cleared in three cases on March 7, 2025.

The investigations into the TDAP corruption cases began in 2009, while the FIA registered the cases in 2013.

In 2015, Yousaf Raza Gillani was named as an accused in the final challan of the cases. The allegations involve creating fake companies and embezzling approximately 7 billion rupees under the guise of freight subsidies in era of PPP government.
