Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Bangladesh for a two-day official visit.

At Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, he was welcomed by Bangladesh’s Foreign Secretary Ambassador Asad Alam Siam, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Imran Haider, Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan Muhammad Iqbal Khan, and other senior officials. Officers from the Pakistan High Commission were also present to receive him.

The visit, scheduled from August 23 to 24, is taking place at the special invitation of the Bangladeshi government. During his stay, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar will hold meetings with key Bangladeshi leaders.

He is expected to meet with Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, Foreign Advisor Mohammed Tauhid Hossain, and other officials to discuss bilateral relations as well as regional and global issues. On this occasion, both countries are set to sign several memorandums of understanding aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation.
