LAHORE: The Punjab government has declared Friday, August 15, 2025, as a local holiday in Lahore to mark the Annual Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, also known as Data Gunj Bukhsh (RA).

The holiday will apply only to offices and institutions within Lahore District. It will not be observed at the Punjab Civil Secretariat, its attached departments, or regional offices.

According to the notification from the Services and General Administration Department (Welfare Wing), the decision is strictly for Lahore District.

Residents and government employees in Lahore are advised to note the holiday and plan their schedules accordingly.
