Islamabad International Airport will face several temporary closures in August as part of preparations for Independence Day celebrations. The Pakistan Airports Authority announced that both arrivals and departures will be halted at specific times to allow for parade rehearsals.

According to a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), no flights will operate between 8 pm and 10 pm on August 11, 12, and 13, and airlines have been instructed not to schedule flights during these hours. The NOTAM also lists additional suspensions from August 6 to 9 and again from August 11 to 14, including a pause from 11 am to 1 pm on certain days.

Passengers are advised to check their flight timings before traveling to the airport to avoid inconvenience, while airlines have been told to adjust schedules and keep travelers updated. These suspensions are part of security and logistical arrangements for Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day celebrations.
