LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz praised Pakistan’s armed forces for their strong and decisive response to Indian aggression in the “Marka-e-Haq”, calling the victory a moment that raised Pakistan’s standing in the world.

Speaking at an event to mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, she also paid tribute to the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, appreciating his bold and determined command.

Maryam Nawaz lauded the Pakistan Air Force for shooting down six Indian fighter jets, calling its pilots “brave eagles.”

“This historic win against India has brought a new Pakistan onto the world map,” she said. She stressed that the whole nation stands united like a solid wall to protect the country’s sovereignty and defense.

She pledged to fight against divisive and disruptive elements, saying, “We will win the war against those who spread chaos and discord.”

The chief minister also prayed for the safety of Pakistan and its armed forces, and the martyrs, asking Allah to raise their ranks in the hereafter.
