More monsoon rains with some heavy showers are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and other parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night and Thursday.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department says a seasonal low is present over northwest Balochistan, and monsoon winds are reaching the upper areas of the country. A westerly wave is also affecting the upper parts.

Because of these weather patterns, more rain with occasional heavy showers is likely in the twin cities, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir between Wednesday night and Thursday. The rain may come with breaks in between.

Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding in small streams and rivers in Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Murree, Galiyat, and Kashmir. There is also a chance of urban flooding in cities like Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Nowshera, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Sialkot. Landslides or mudslides could block roads in hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree, and Galiyat.

In Islamabad, the highest temperature on Thursday is expected to be between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, and between 30 and 32 degrees on Friday and Saturday.

In Rawalpindi, the highest temperature is also expected to stay between 31 and 33 degrees on Thursday, and between 30 and 32 degrees on Friday and Saturday.

Over the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather was felt in most parts of the country. However, there were also rains, including some heavy falls, in upper and south Punjab, Islamabad, Kashmir, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Dalbandin remained the hottest place in Pakistan, with a maximum temperature of 45°C recorded. The maximum temperature in Nokkundi was recorded at 44°C, and in Dadu and Sibbi and Bhakkar at 42°C.

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 67 percent.

In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 61 percent.
