KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has issued a Rs75 commemorative coin to honor the sacrifices of the armed forces during Markha-e-Haq and to celebrate Independence Day. The coin will be available across the country from August 15, 2025.

According to the State Bank, the federal government approved the coin to pay tribute to the bravery of Pakistan’s armed forces and to mark the national occasion memorably.

The coin is made of nickel-brass, containing 79% copper, 20% zinc, and 1% nickel. It has a diameter of 30 millimeters and weighs 13.5 grams.

Front (Obverse): The front features a raised crescent and a five-pointed star facing northwest. The inscription “Islamic Republic of Pakistan” runs along the upper edge. Below the crescent, between two wheat sprigs, the year “2025” is inscribed, with the denomination “75 Rupees” on both sides.

Back (Reverse): The back bears the words “Markha-e-Haq” and “2025.” Along the upper edge is the phrase “Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad.” The design includes two fighter jets, a naval ship, and a multiple rocket launcher system.

The commemorative coin will be available from August 15, 2025, at all field offices of the State Bank’s Banking Services Corporation through exchange counters.
