PINDI BHATTIAN: A heartbreaking incident took place in the village of Kot Nikka near Pindi Bhattian, where three children died after eating poisonous food, the News reported.

Rescue officials said that six children from the same family fell sick after consuming the toxic food. They were rushed to the hospital by Rescue 1122, but sadly, three of them could not survive. The remaining three children are still in critical condition and are receiving treatment in intensive care.

Police from Saddar Police Station reached the spot and started an investigation to find out what the poisonous substance was and how it ended up in the food.

This tragedy comes just months after a similar case in Tandlianwala, Punjab, where four little girls and their mother lost their lives after eating contaminated food. The victims were identified as three-year-old Farzana, four-year-old Aqsa, five-year-old Rukhsana, eight-year-old Muskan, and their 34-year-old mother, also named Muskan. That incident happened on May 5 in a village located near Faisalabad and Okara.
