SNGPL has lifted the 8-year ban on domestic gas connections, allowing households to apply for new connections once again.

According to officials, the new connections will be provided through imported RLNG, which is about 35% cheaper than LPG. The security deposit for each new connection has been set at Rs. 20,000.

The connection fee will be Rs. 21,000 for houses up to 10 marla, and Rs. 23,000 for houses larger than 10 marla. Applicants will also need to submit an affidavit agreeing to the approved tariff rates.

Consumers can collect application forms from any SNGPL office or download them from its website. Each application must include a copy of the applicant’s CNIC, proof of property ownership, and a neighbor’s gas bill.

After reviewing the documents, an SNGPL team will visit the site and issue a demand notice if the application is approved.
