Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that electric bus services will soon be launched in four more districts of South Punjab, including Rajanpur, Layyah, Muzaffargarh, and Taunsa.

She made the announcement while inaugurating the electric bus service in Dera Ghazi Khan, saying that every district in South Punjab will be provided with modern transport facilities. Earlier, 101 electric buses had already been launched in the Dera Ghazi Khan division, and the service will gradually expand to other cities.

Maryam Nawaz described the project as a gift for ordinary citizens, women, students, and people with disabilities. She added that Punjab’s resources would be used for its people and assured that South Punjab would not be ignored in development plans.

She also urged the public to take care of the new buses, reminding them that these were public property and should be protected.
