ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s military leadership paid rich tribute to the martyrs of the nation on Defence Day 2025, honoring their sacrifices for the country’s security and sovereignty.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu issued a joint message on the occasion. They saluted the bravery of the armed forces and expressed pride in the martyrs who laid down their lives for Pakistan.

According to ISPR, this year marks the 60th anniversary of Defence Day. The military leaders also extended their respect and gratitude to the families of martyrs, acknowledging that their sacrifices can never be forgotten.

“The sacrifices of our heroes are unforgettable, and the nation will always remain proud of them,” the message said.

The armed forces reaffirmed their unity and commitment to defend Pakistan, paying tribute not only to the martyrs but also to the spirit of resilience and courage shown by the entire nation.
