ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said industrial cooperation is the cornerstone of Pakistan-China economic ties, urging Chinese investors to consider Pakistan as their top investment destination.

He met with leading Chinese business figures to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in key sectors, including textiles and information technology. The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s reforms to stabilize the economy and its efforts to provide a business-friendly environment.

PM Shehbaz underlined incentives such as tax breaks for investors and easy visa policies for Chinese nationals. He also mentioned the government’s initiative to set up dedicated booths at major airports to facilitate investors.

The Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s strategic connectivity with regional and global markets, calling it a unique advantage for investors. He noted that the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has emerged as a key platform to accelerate investments, remove hurdles, and strengthen business-to-business cooperation.

Shehbaz Sharif said increased Chinese investment in Pakistan’s economic zones would not only support economic growth but also create new jobs. He added that the vision of CPEC continues to drive regional development, innovation, and shared prosperity.
