Intermittent rain with some heavy showers is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and different parts of Pakistan on Wednesday night and the following two days.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that weak moist winds from the Arabian Sea are entering the upper parts of the country. A fresh westerly wave is also reaching these areas tonight and is likely to continue for the next 24 to 36 hours.

Because of this, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms with a chance of heavy falls are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday night and the coming two days.

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 30°C and 32°C on Thursday and Friday, and between 31°C and 33°C on Saturday. In Rawalpindi, the temperature will likely remain between 36°C and 38°C on Thursday and Friday, and between 37°C and 39°C on Saturday.

During the past 24 hours, hot and humid weather was reported in most parts of Pakistan. However, some areas in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa received rain and thunderstorms, while light drizzle was recorded in Karachi.
