KARACHI: Heavy rains forced the closure of all educational institutions in Karachi on Wednesday. The All Sindh Private Schools and Colleges Association announced that all private schools and colleges would remain shut to protect students and staff.

Parents and students faced major problems as water flooded several roads across the city. School van owners also announced they would not bring vehicles on the roads due to safety concerns.

Authorities warned that more rainfall is expected in the next 24 hours, which could make road conditions even worse.
