More intermittent rains predicted in Karachi, Sindh
More intermittent rains and gusty winds are predicted in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that moist currents from the Arabian Sea are entering southeastern Sindh, while a well-marked low-pressure system lies over the Gulf of Cambay in India and is expected to move west-northwestward.
Because of these conditions, rain is expected in Nawabshah, Larkana, Dadu, Sakrand, Badin, Sanghar, Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Sujawal, Karachi and Thatta on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, more rain is likely in Nawabshah, Larkana, Dadu, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Sanghar, Mithi, Mirpurkhas, Tando Allah Yar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Khairpur, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Sujawal, Karachi and Thatta.
The PMD warned that rains and windstorms could damage weak buildings and structures, including electric poles, billboards, vehicles and solar panels.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature is expected to stay between 38°C and 40°C on Wednesday and rise slightly to 39°C–41°C on Thursday. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature will likely remain between 37°C and 39°C on Wednesday and between 38°C and 40°C on Thursday.
During the past 24 hours, most districts of Sindh experienced hot and humid weather, although rain was reported in Karachi and some other areas of the province.

In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 59 percent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 percent.
