Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in his message on the International Day of Peace, reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the principles of peace and justice.

He said that the world today is facing serious threats due to conflicts and injustices, and lasting peace can only be achieved by addressing the root causes of these disputes.

The Prime Minister stressed that every individual and every nation must play their role in promoting peace, while strong international institutions are essential to nurture and safeguard it.

He urged the global community to renew its commitment to resolving conflicts through peaceful means in line with the UN Charter.

Highlighting the grave humanitarian crises in Palestine and Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that permanent peace will remain a dream until the people of these regions are granted their right to self-determination in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.
