More intermittent rains predicted in Karachi, Sindh
Intermittent rains and windstorms expected in Karachi and parts of Sindh on Monday night and the next two days.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that a strong low-pressure system is present over Gujrat in India and is expected to move west or northwest. Moist air from the northeastern Arabian Sea is entering southeastern Sindh, while a new westerly wave is likely to reach the upper parts of Pakistan on October 3.
Due to these weather conditions, there are chances of intermittent rain, wind and thunderstorms in Tharparkar including Mithi, Islamkot, Nagarparkar, Chachro, Dhali, Diplo and Kaloi, as well as Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Khairpur, Matiari, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Karachi, Thatta, Badin and Sajawal between September 29 and October 2. Moderate to heavy rainfall is also expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot and Mirpurkhas.
PMD has warned that strong winds and rain may damage weak buildings, electric poles, billboards, vehicles and solar panels.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 38°C and 40°C on Tuesday and between 39°C and 41°C on Wednesday. In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature is expected to be 37°C to 39°C on Tuesday and 38°C to 40°C on Wednesday.
Over the last 24 hours, hot and humid weather continued in Karachi and most parts of Sindh. Karachi recorded a maximum of 39°C with 78 percent evening humidity, while Hyderabad recorded 38°C with 72 percent evening humidity.
