Rawalpindi: Security forces killed 18 terrorists in two separate operations conducted in different areas of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The ISPR stated that an intelligence-based operation was launched in the Chiltan area of Quetta following reports of terrorist presence. During the operation, a fierce exchange of fire took place between security forces and the terrorists, resulting in the killing of 14 terrorists.

In another successful operation carried out in the Kech district, four more terrorists were killed by security forces.

According to the ISPR, the slain terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities. A large cache of weapons and ammunition was also recovered during the operations.

The spokesperson added that a clearance and search operation is still underway in the areas to eliminate any remaining threats.

Prime Minister pays tribute to security forces:

On the other hand, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for two successful separate operations against the terrorists of Fitna-e-Hindustan in Quetta and Kech districts.

The Prime Minister praised the security forces for eliminating 18 terrorists belonging to Fitna-e-Hindustan during the operations and said that the entire nation stands with the security forces in the war against terrorism.

He said that the determination and courage of the security forces are commendable, and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
