Afghan Taliban Regime’s Disinformation Network Against Pakistan Exposed

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has exposed a coordinated disinformation campaign launched by the Afghan Taliban regime and Indian networks against Pakistan.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, several social media accounts linked to India and the Afghan Taliban are spreading fake news, old videos, and misleading images in an organized attempt to malign Pakistan.
Old Chaman Gathering Videos Circulated as New
The spokesperson revealed that the videos being shared online actually belong to the Chaman gathering of December 2022, but are being circulated as recent footage to mislead the public.
The ministry clarified that this is part of a systematic propaganda effort aimed at destabilizing Pakistan.
False Narratives and Fabricated Content, A Propaganda Agenda
The ministry stated that social media networks operating under the influence of the Taliban regime are distorting facts and promoting false narratives. These activities are designed to incite hatred and sow discord against Pakistani institutions.
India Playing Key Role in Anti-Pakistan Propaganda
The spokesperson further asserted that India remains the main facilitator of the Afghan propaganda machine in its anti-Pakistan agenda. Both networks are jointly spreading fake content to tarnish Pakistan’s image at the international level.
The Ministry of Information reaffirmed that Pakistan will effectively counter all disinformation campaigns. Every attempt to distort reality or mislead the public will be strongly exposed and neutralized.
