Jamaat-e-Islami holds massive Gaza solidarity March in Karachi
Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami organized a massive “Solidarity with Gaza” march on Shahrah-e-Faisal, where thousands of people, including women, children, and the elderly, gathered to show their unwavering support for Palestine.
Participants carried Palestinian flags, banners, and symbolic coffins of martyred children while chanting slogans against Israeli aggression in Gaza. The event featured speeches by Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Munim Zafar Khan, and Allama Ameen Shaheedi, who strongly condemned Israel’s attacks and expressed unity with the people of Gaza.
Allama Ameen Shaheedi said the march represented the voice of 250 million Pakistanis, declaring that the nation would never step back from supporting Palestine. He praised the courage and sacrifices of the people of Gaza, saying their struggle had awakened the conscience of humanity.
Addressing the crowd, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman rejected the idea of a two-state solution, stating firmly, “There is only one state, and that is Palestine.” He called Israel an illegal state and criticized the United Nations and the United States for their silence on Israeli aggression.
Hafiz Naeem also urged Muslim leaders to take a firm stand, questioning their inaction and warning the Pakistani government not to support any two-state proposal. He said that the balance of power in the world is shifting, with the West weakening and the East rising.
Concluding his address, Hafiz Naeem said only Islam’s just system can bring true peace to the world, and the freedom of Palestine is an essential part of that struggle.
