The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) has completed the repair of the damaged 48-inch diameter rising main line at the North East Pumping Station K-II, restoring water supply to the affected areas of the city.

The KW&SC confirmed that the repair work had been completed successfully and that supply operations have resumed to ensure normal water distribution across the impacted localities.

Chief Operating Officer KW&SC Engineer Asadullah Khan inspected the site on Thursday to review the progress of the repair work. He was accompanied by senior engineers and technical staff, who briefed him on the restoration process. During the visit, the COO KW&SC instructed the officials to accelerate all ongoing repair and rehabilitation activities to ensure the water supply system remains stable and uninterrupted. He directed that all available resources be used efficiently to prevent any further delays.

Expressing regret over the temporary disruption, Engineer Asadullah Khan apologized to citizens for the inconvenience caused by the suspension of water supply. “We sincerely regret the difficulties faced by residents due to the disruption. The Water Corporation is working tirelessly to ensure the city’s water system remains reliable and efficient,” he said.

He added that the KW&SC is committed to strengthening Karachi’s water infrastructure through continuous improvement and modernization. The corporation, he said, is taking comprehensive measures to upgrade the existing supply network, ensuring it can withstand future challenges and meet the growing demands of the city’s population.
