Naqvi and Bilawal urge political unity for Pakistan’s stability
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Monday stressed the need for unity among political parties to address national challenges and ensure internal stability.
During their meeting at Bilawal House in Karachi, both leaders discussed the country’s political situation, law and order, and matters of mutual interest. Naqvi briefed Bilawal on the federal government’s recent measures to maintain peace and strengthen internal security. Bilawal expressed satisfaction over these efforts, saying that “Pakistan’s current challenges can only be overcome through unity and consensus.”
Naqvi echoed his remarks, adding that all political forces must work together to keep the country stable.

Their meeting came shortly after the PPP and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) the main partners in the ruling coalition, agreed to settle misunderstandings through dialogue and mutual respect. Sources said Naqvi also took Bilawal into confidence over the PPP-PML-N relations during their “cordial” discussion.
In recent weeks, tensions had risen between the two parties after Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz criticized the PPP over flood relief distribution. However, the situation eased after a series of meetings between top leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Ishaq Dar, who all pushed for cooperation and unity within the coalition.
