NASA shutdown: Over 15,000 employees fired

NASA has announced a complete shutdown due to funding shortages caused by the US government shutdown.

According to the agency’s officials, operations have come to a halt, and an official notice has been posted on NASA’s website.

Out of NASA’s total workforce of 18,218 employees, 15,094 have been placed on forced leave. This means more than 83 percent of the agency’s staff has been furloughed.
