Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has said that the first supermoon of the year will be seen on the night of October 7. The moon will rise from the east and set in the west at 8:47 PM. This supermoon will look about 6.6% bigger and 13% brighter than a normal full moon.

SUPARCO also mentioned that the planet Saturn will be visible close to the moon on October 6 and 7, appearing on the left side of the moon. This will be the first of several supermoons in 2025. The brightest one is expected in November, when the moon will come as close as 357,344 kilometers to Earth.

According to SUPARCO, two more supermoons will follow this event—one on November 5 and another on December 5. People across Pakistan will be able to enjoy this rare view in the sky, marking the start of a special lunar season for stargazers in 2025.
