Jordan’s King Abdullah II arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit, where President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly received him at Noor Khan Airbase.

Both the countries are expected to hold talks for fostering the political, economic and cultural ties. King Abdullah II’s visit to Pakistan is the reflection of the steadfast ties between Pakistan and Jordan.

During his stay, King Abdullah II will hold separate meetings with President Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The discussions will cover bilateral cooperation, regional developments, trade, investment, and defense collaboration, along with other key areas of mutual interest.

Pakistan will also host a special ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr to confer the country’s highest civil award on King Abdullah II. The event will be attended by the national leadership and other prominent dignitaries.

The visit is expected to not only enhance diplomatic cooperation between Pakistan and Jordan but also open new avenues for military coordination, counterterrorism collaboration, and broader regional stability.
