ISLAMABAD: Mufti Taqi Usmani and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir have been included in the list of the world’s 500 most influential Muslims for 2025, issued by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Jordan.

According to the report, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani ranked first, while prominent Pakistani scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani secured the second position.

The list also features several other global leaders, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Burkina Faso’s President Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

Other notable figures on the list include Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin, Hamas leader Khaled Mashal, and Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shaar’a.

From Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, journalist Hamid Mir, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, and Dr. Umar Saif were also recognized for their influence.

Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai was also included among the world’s most influential Muslims for 2025.
