The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seizes 120 Kilograms of adulterated honey, during raid in Lahore’s Data Gunj Bakhsh zone.

A massive raid on the directives of Director General of Punjab Food Authority, Irfan Nawaz Memon was launched against the producers of substandard honey,

During the operation, authorities seized 120 kg of ready-made substandard honey, along with 150 kg of glucose syrup, one kg of open colors, and several empty bottles.

The manufacturing unit was reportedly producing poor quality honey using bright colors and chemicals.

Further investigations revealed the addition of sugar, glucose syrup, and flower petals to the substandard honey.

Raja Jahangir Anwar, DG Food Authority, emphasized the harmful consequences of consuming such low-quality honey, highlighting the health risks associated with the use of substandard food products.

The vigilant team successfully located the unit through a meticulous operation.

DG PFA reiterated their commitment to ongoing operations against food adulteration, urging the public to report any health-threatening elements to the Punjab Food Authority helpline at 1223.
