Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif is considering the possibility of contesting elections from Murree.

In a series of political engagements in Murree, local leaders of that and neighboring areas held a meeting with Nawaz Sharif, expressing their interest in him entering the electoral arena from the region.

During the meeting, the local leadership highlighted internal differences within the party and provided insights into the evolving political landscape.

The potential absence of former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi from the upcoming general elections has intensified interest on the Murree seat among various candidates.

Party sources revealed that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s son and the family of former provincial general secretary Raja Ashfaq Sarwar are among those expressing interest in the PML-N ticket from Murree.
