The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Tuesday recovered explosive material from a suspicious bag found near Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.

On receiving the information of a suspicious bag, bomb disposal squad had rushed to the spot; located at a distance of 200 meters from Gate No. 5 of Adiala Jail.

The BDS has cleared the fag after search. The bag contained a computer hard disk and some wires, which were to be used for a planned explosion.

Approximately, 1200 grams of explosive material was recovered from the bag.

The Bomb disposal squad and heavy police force have been deployed at the site, the area has been sealed.
