Meghan Markle was denied requesting a NYC restaurant to clear out so that she and Prince Harry could have a private dinner
During her recent trip to New York City with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle seemed to want to be treated like royalty.
The mom-of-two made a few “princess”-like requests while eating at the hip restaurant on Monday, July 18, according to witnesses at Manhattan’s Locanda Verde.
According to a spy, the 40-year-old former actress “requested the people at Locanda Verde to have the entire inner outdoor courtyard – which seats 50 – for herself and four friends, including Prince Harry,” according to Page Six.
The onlooker revealed, “The owners told her it had been reserved for a birthday party for 15 people and refused to bounce the party out of the premises. She did as instructed after being told to sit inside.
The Sussexes and their guests were thereafter “seated in the midst of the crowded restaurant,” despite the fact that the establishment had “tons and loads of security all throughout.” It was their security personnel who reportedly warned customers not to try to snap pictures of the couple or they would be “forced to leave.”
Their representative hasn’t addressed the rumors, but a different source told the publication that the spouses had only “asked a specific table in the dining room.”
The Suits star sent greetings to a customer who was celebrating their birthday, but otherwise stayed to themselves with Harry, 37, Meghan, and their visitors, who looked like “another couple that seemed to be close friends,” according to a second insider.
“The table next to theirs was hosting an arbitrary birthday party. I wish you the happiest birthday, Meghan said at the table next to them as she approached them with Harry “remembered the spy. They were all speechless and merely expressed gratitude.
