The Netflix documentary on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might be released sooner than anticipated.

The couple, who have apparently been collaborating with the streaming service since 2021 for a look inside their Californian lives, had hoped for an early 2023 release, but Netflix is now eager to coordinate the launch with the fifth season of The Crown.

There is a lot to organize and a lot going on here, a source told Page Six. The platform was also worried that Harry’s memoir, which is scheduled to come out later in 2022, would “scoop” some of their stuff, the source added. Early November is when The Crown will premiere.

A supposed docuseries will reportedly be directed by an Oscar-nominated director, it was alleged in June.

Liz Garbus will now work on the series, which the couple has supposedly been working on for more than a year, as part of their $100 million deal with the streaming service.

Liz contributed to The Handmaid’s Tale’s fourth season and received an Emmy nomination in 2021. Prior to its cancellation earlier in 2022, she was also scheduled to work on the projected cartoon Pearl for Meghan Markle and David Furnish.

Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, are working with Netflix to create children’s programming, scripted series, docuseries, documentaries, and features.

Camera crews were photographed with the couple in September 2021 as they attended a number of events in addition to the Global Citizen Live event. Archewell has never officially acknowledged the reality series, though.

Additionally, fans are expecting that their recent trip to New York will be mentioned.

The Duke and Duchess were the focus of the media during their visit to the city, but they gave off a carefree air as they dined and drank with a select group of close friends at a posh Italian restaurant.

Harry was spotted leaving Chef Andrew Carmellini’s Tribeca hotspot, Locanda Verde, hand-in-hand with his wife following his moving speech at a United Nations ceremony in memory of the late Nelson Mandela.

Harry discussed his mother Diana, the Princess of Wales’ visit with former South African president Nelson Mandela in March 1997 and how he “sought solace” in Africa after she passed away during his address.

He stated: “An image of my mum and Mandela meeting in Cape Town in 1997 remains on my wall and constantly on my mind. The late Archbishop Desmond Tutu, whose friendship and inspiration were their own priceless gifts, gave the photo to me. In 2019, my wife and I had the privilege of introducing him to our four-month-old son.”
