According to Tom Bower, Prince Harry was reportedly “staggered” when he realized that his wife Meghan Markle by the Queen were essentially being “airbrushed” from the Royal Family.

Later this month, Bower will publish a book titled Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors. Through interviews with several sources, Bower has developed an inside account of the Sussexes’ expulsion from the Royal Family.

Though Meghan and Harry made the public announcement, the decision to step down as senior royals in January 2020 had been made for weeks.

When Prince Andrew gave his BBC TV Newsnight appearance, Meghan allegedly “consulted with her Los Angeles team about the best terms for their departure from Britain,” according to Bower.
According to Bower, this caused the Queen to speak about a “slimmed down” monarchy during her 2019 Christmas Day speech, concentrating instead on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

He writes: “As Harry watched his grandmother from Vancouver, he was staggered. Four silver-framed family photographs had been carefully placed behind her.

“They showed the Queen’s father George VI, Prince Philip, Charles and Camilla, and finally William and his family.

“To Harry’s fury, there was no photographer of himself, Meghan, and Archie.

“The Windsors were airbrushing the Sussexes from history.”
