Liz Truss, who prevailed in the contest for the leadership of the Conservative Party on Monday, will take office as the 15th prime minister of the United Kingdom during the reign of the country’s supreme sovereign Queen Elizabeth II.

Tuesday, when Boris Johnson has resigned in writing, the monarch will urge Truss to form a cabinet.
