Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is allegedly concerned that his wife Meghan Markle won’t attend Queen Elizabeth’s burial because of their escalating conflict with the royal family.

According to Fox News, as was cited by The International Business Times, Prince Harry is “terrified of being left alone with a family that was once so close.”

According to the source, Meghan Markle believes that she should return to the United States before the funeral so that Harry and his family can attend it “given the response that she has received.”

Since they returned to the U.K., Meghan and Harry have received attention—both positive and negative—and this was amplified when they attended events after Queen Elizabeth passed away.

King Charles reportedly forbade Meghan from going to see the Queen on September 8 while she lay dying.

According to the source, Meghan may find all of this to be too much to stomach and elect to travel back to the US alone.
