In order to be allowed to wear his military uniform at a sombre occasion for the late Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry apparently required the approval of Palace staff members.

This comes after it was reported that Prince Harry had previously been denied permission to wear his military uniforms, with the Palace claiming that only “working royals” may do so at events honouring the Queen’s passing.

A source who spoke to Mirror UK about the royal controversy surrounding Harry’s wardrobe revealed that Palace officials intervened to allow the Duke of Sussex to wear his uniform, saying: “The Duke of Sussex has served his country. He is a highly respected member of the armed forces with everything he has done for veterans.”

“It is important the Queen’s grandchildren are all made to feel welcome and comfortable as they grieve their beloved grandmother together,” the insider further said.
