In response to worries that she doesn’t actually meet the podcast guests, Meghan Markle has reportedly retracted the moniker of “America’s laziest interviewer” that a royal expert recently bestowed upon her.

The American poet Amanda Gorman, a guest on Meghan’s Spotify podcast Archetypes, was pictured standing with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, according to Hello magazine. Amanda shared the photo on Instagram before her appearance on the show on Tuesday, November 22.

Gorman, a former National Youth Poet Laureate, captioned her post: “Beyond thrilled to have had the honour of speaking with The Duchess on her podcast, Archetypes, where I spoke on the power that women possess as changemakers. Thank you so much for having me!”

On this week’s edition of Meghan’s Archetypes, the 24-year-old poet made a surprise appearance alongside Pose actress Michaela Jae Rodriguez and Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell.

The image was published a few days after numerous media publications speculated that Meghan could have producers interview the guests on her show rather than actually meeting them. The Duchess was also dubbed “America’s laziest interviewer” in the stories.
