As Prince William lands in Boston, people make fun of Buckingham Palace for how quickly it apologised for a racist row.

Omid Scobie, a friend of Meghan Markle’s, says that the Palace is learning from its mistakes by acting quickly to stop racism.

“A prompt response from the Palace, who have a history of silence or denial for incidents involving race,” he tweeted.Lessons finally learned?

“Or is this just not wanting anything to overshadow Wales’ Boston visit?”

“Arriving in the US amidst another race scandal wouldn’t be the best start.”

This is because Lady Susan Hussey, who works for Queen Elizabeth II, asked a Buckingham Palace guest a question that was rude.

Ngozi Fulani says that Hussey asked her about her nationality based on the colour of her skin.

Then, a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said: “We take this incident extremely seriously and have investigated immediately to establish the full details.”

“In this instance, unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments have been made.”
