Mark Borkowski warns Prince William and Kate Middleton
Following Lady Sussan’s resignation due to racist statements, publicist Mark Borkowski claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton were heading into a perfect storm.
According to the expert, William and Kate’s journey to the US will be disastrous as a result of the godmother’s comments.
After Lady Susan Hussey allegedly refused to believe a black activist named Ngozi Fulani was British and inquired, “What part of Africa are you from?,” William supported her choice to leave the royal household.
“This is a PR disaster for the Royal Family and it is going to cause huge problems, especially at the start of William and Kate’s US trip which will be dominated by a new racism row. They are flying into a perfect storm,” he told MailOnline.
Wednesday marked the start of Prince William and wife Kate’s first trip to the United States in eight years, but the trip was overshadowed by a new race controversy after his godmother left the royal household for repeatedly questioning a Black British woman where she was “really” from.
As they began their three-day trip focusing on climate change, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Boston mayor Michelle Wu and governor-elect Maura Healey at city hall. They then sat courtside at a Boston Celtics versus Miami Heat NBA game.
The start of the tour, which follows accusations of racism from William’s brother Harry and his mixed-race sister-in-law Meghan, was overshadowed by Susan Hussey, one of William’s six godmothers, 83, resigning and issuing an apology.
