An expert has refuted Prince Harry‘s assertions in his Netflix docuseries that the Queen was “quiet” during a family meeting over “Megxit.”

The Duke of Sussex suggested that the late Queen disregarded herself at the “Sandringham Summit,” which she convened to discuss the terms of Harry’s departure from royal life, in his and wife Meghan Markle’s Netflix series Harry & Meghan.

According to royal authority Richard Fitzwilliam, who responded to this assertion, “The Queen knew exactly what she was doing, and she wasn’t being controlled by anyone,” Mail Online.

Further stating: “He presents the Queen as someone who is unpleasant, and in fact, it’s offensive because the Queen becomes a puppet in the hands of the others there, as well as, of course, her advisers,” Fitzwilliam

The expert went on to say: “The Queen was quite clever to act in the way she did, but Harry suggests that she was, so to speak, out of it. On the contrary, she was a huge part of it when she declared after Oprah that certain “recollections may vary.”

In fact, people who doubt their veracity have used that phrase to help define them in their thoughts. Fitzwilliam continued his critique of Prince Harry’s docuseries by saying, “I think it’s quite apparent from people who know the Queen that the Queen knew exactly what she was doing and she wasn’t being influenced by anyone.
