Prince Harry, according to a royal biographer, was “in the driving seat” when the Duke and his wife Meghan Markle left their positions as senior working royals and moved to the US to live a self-sufficient lifestyle.

Omid Scobie, the biographer of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, responded to the assertions that the Duchess of Sussex had any influence over Prince Harry’s choice to leave the Firm, his family, or any other element of his life, claiming she lacked such a power.

“It’s bizarre, because I think that the image that is often portrayed is that Meghan is a sort of witch-like character that has cast a spell over Harry and he is unable to make a decision for himself, to think straight, to treat his relationship with his family in the way that he wants or tell his own story without her involvement,” During his speech on the Common Sense YouTube channel, Scobie said:

The author presumably made an attempt to refute Harry’s detractors’ assertions that the Duke views the world through Meghan’s eyes and is controlled by the Duchess, who is said to dictate his beliefs.
