According to Tom Bower, author of Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors, Meghan Markle should be concerned about the lawsuit brought against her by her sister Samantha Markle.

Samantha is suing Meghan Markle over comments she made in an interview with television legend Oprah Winfrey.

It was their first interview since leaving the UK to live financially independent lives after standing down as working royals.

In the tell-all interview a month before Prince Philip’s death, they also made claims against the royal family.

Bower stated a day after a court denied a motion to prevent Meghan and Harry from testifying in the case, “If I was Meghan, I’d be, undoubtfully, very worried tonight. What the judge decided was that Samantha Markle’s action for libel, defamation against Meghan – she’s, of course, the half-sister of Meghan – has got to go to depositions.”

The author said, “The judge did not say the case would be thrown out, only that some of the questions may be withdrawn.”

The Duchess of Sussex submitted a move to halt the depositions in September of last year, but the motion was denied by presiding judge Charlene Edwards Honeywell.

A deposition is a formal testimony provided by someone involved in a lawsuit that can be given outside of court but still under oath.
